Cathedral of the forest
This is a scene I was presented with right after the start of one of the guided hiking routes we have in this region (Traumschleifen). I felt like I was in a high-ceilinged cathedral.
Funfair ride at Schueberfouer in Luxembourg
This was a lucky shot just passing under the ride with a clear black night sky behind it.
Dog or overgrown bunny, you decide
Bumble Bee Butt (nothing more to say)
Dylan
This is Dylan. Dylan is a friend's rescue dog. Dylan is extremely photogenic. Dylan is blissfully oblivious to this fact.
Close-up of a flower bud
Captured this on a walk where my only objective was to reacquaint myself with the 16 mm macro ring for my Fujifilm lenses.
Dove on deck
A dove walking along the edge of the deck on the Independence of the Seas a few hours before the ship left Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale.
Frost on a tree stump
Mushrooms on a log
A church through the gate
This is the Hooglandse Kerk in Leiden, Netherlands as viewed through the main gate of De Burcht.
Small thorns on a flower
One of my first attempts with the MCEX-16 macro extension tube for my Fujifilm lenses. I really like how it turned out.
Light funnel
I took this shot on my way back to Capbreton from Stuttgart, waiting for my bus from Donostia to Bayonne in the Donostia – San Sebastian bus terminal. The way the light spread in the air well in the bus station caught my eye.
Woman with her two dogs at the beach
Windows frontage of the Trier University highrise
That was actually taken as a test shot with a new wide-angle lens I had bought to check it for distortions. Goes to show that sometimes the most mundane things can look really nice.
Mika's front paws
Taking a short break on a walk with my dogs, the little dog finally got comfortable on the wooden lounger we sat down on. Mika is a sweet dog and her little paws always remind me more of a cat's than a dog's. This isn't helped by the fact that she tends to behave like a cat sometimes. She's a rescue that someone in my family adopted when she was already about four years old and I always suspected that she grew up with cats.
Evening at the Trier University pond
This view during an evening walk with the dogs had me rushing back home to grab my camera and tripod. The water was almost completely still and not a soul was around.
Tail of the Allure of the Seas
One of my clients held a company conference on the biggest cruise ship in the world. It was the third time I went but never on a ship this size. Here I was on my way back to the ship in Cozumel, Mexico and the dimensions of this floating city looked quite overwhelming.
Changing terminals
… at the Zürich airport going to Miami. This tunnel is just beautifully built and I couldn't not take a shot of this.
Bijou
We got her from a animal home in August 2015 and she almost instantly became a part of the family. About eight years old, very sweet, sometimes a bit crazy, very fluffy, and the most relaxed dog I've ever met.
Morning view
I have one of the best views in the city of Trier. The weather her is always interesting and not a week goes by that I don't stand a the window soaking in the scenery and taking a photo.
Sunset above Trier-Tarforst
These are the views I get when I take the dog out for a walk around sunset in the fields above Trier-Filsch. Never gets old.
